Maybe you should try seeing both sides of this issue instead of assuming that yours is the only valid opinion. Id still read it, I like the way you write. But I can see some people getting upset

I just watched a show with a taxadermed "chupacabra" and the woman said it was genetically tested, and apparently it was a cross with some kind of extinct wolf and somethin somethin.... my memory is terrible =( . But it's fangs were long, and had skin in unnecessary areas. Uhm. As a side note, what the hell are bats descended from and when did a mammal get the ability to suck some damn blood (vampire bat) . Perhaps there is an earlier... bigger... version? not necessarily this.

... Just saying =D

Its a Mexican hairless dog...and Texas is pretty close to Mexico...why in the world are these unidentified bodies immediately a monster until proven dog when these bodies are clearly species of canine?? People are crazy and would rather have a conspiracy theory explanation when the scientific one just won't do. I thought this site was about shedding light on this kind of stuff and not perpetuating ignorance.

QOUTED
"This looks to me like a breed of hairless dog. The breed is called Xoloitzcuintle"

actually a typical Xoloitzcuintle doesnt have fangs like that of the Chupacabra-like animal and probably not like that tails. Well for me its actually like a half dog half kangaroo with mysterious rat-like tails. and it got hoofs too :P

This looks to me like a breed of hairless dog. The breed is called Xoloitzcuintle, and it's highly possible that it was someone's pet which either ran away from home or was abandoned in the area. This carcass looks exactly like a Xoloitzcuintle to me, not a chupacabra in the slightest. If the chupacabra does exist, I don't know why it would have the same physical structure as a dog; the majority of reports I've read about the chupacabra describe it as a bipedal creature, not a quadruped as is seen here. I feel sorry for the poor dog that they killed, but I'm afraid that it's not a chupacabra.
